HomeTabs does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and the extension requests zero browser permissions.
Your customizations (pinned sites, hidden sites, custom links, and locally counted site clicks used for the "Your sites" row) are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never leave your computer. You can export or delete them at any time from Edit mode, and uninstalling the extension removes them.
The extension loads site icons (favicons) as images from Google's public favicon service. No personal information is sent with these requests beyond what any ordinary image request includes. If the request fails or you are offline, HomeTabs shows built-in placeholder icons instead.
Sponsored links are clearly labeled, are never mixed into rankings, and involve no tracking by HomeTabs.
If a future version adds optional accounts or sync, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and any data handling will remain opt-in.
